The College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, Hosts International Academic Seminar in Collaboration with the Thailand Foundation
On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (ICT), the College of Religious Studies (CRS), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Thailand Foundation, organized an international academic seminar titled "Buddhist Masculinities, Displaced Bodies and the Gendered Lives of Myanmar Male Sex Workers in Northern Thailand." This event was held as part of the MU-CRS Seminar: Plural Perspectives in Religious Studies series via the Webex online platform.
The college was honored to welcome Dr. Amnuaypond Kidpromma, Assistant Professor in Religious Studies at the Department of Philosophy and Religion, Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University, as the guest speaker. The session was formally opened and moderated by Dr. Rachelle Saruya, a faculty member of the College of Religious Studies. The seminar garnered significant interest, with attendance figures as follows:
