วันที่ 4 มีนาคม 2569 ผศ.ดร.ไพเราะ มากเจริญ คณบดีวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล พร้อมด้วย คณาจารย์ และบุคลากร เข้าถวายมุทิตาสักการะแด่ พระเดชพระคุณ พระธรรมวชิรจินดาภรณ์ (สมคิด จินฺตามโย) กรรมการมหาเถรสมาคม อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยมหามกุฏราชวิทยาลัย (มมร.) และเจ้าคณะภาค 1–2–3 (ธรรมยุต) เนื่องในมงคลวาระเจริญอายุวัฒนมงคลครบ 56 ปี
ในการนี้ คณะผู้บริหารวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษาได้กราบเรียนหารือถึงแนวทางการบูรณาการความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่าง วิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และ มหาวิทยาลัยมหามกุฏราชวิทยาลัย (มมร.) โดยครอบคลุมทั้งการพัฒนาหลักสูตรร่วม การแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ทางวิชาการ การพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากร ตลอดจนการดำเนินกิจกรรมทางวิชาการและบริการวิชาการเพื่อสังคมร่วมกันในระยะยาว
หนึ่งในประเด็นสำคัญของการหารือครั้งนี้ คือแนวคิดในการ พัฒนาหลักสูตรร่วมระหว่างสองสถาบัน เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้พระภิกษุสงฆ์ สามเณร และผู้สนใจด้านศาสนา ได้เข้าถึงการศึกษาที่บูรณาการองค์ความรู้จากทั้งสองสถาบัน โดยผสานความเชี่ยวชาญด้าน ศาสนศึกษาและสหศาสตร์ทางศาสนา จากวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เข้ากับองค์ความรู้เชิงลึกด้าน พระพุทธศาสนาและคัมภีร์ทางพระพุทธศาสนา จากมหาวิทยาลัยมหามกุฏราชวิทยาลัย
ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวมีเป้าหมายเพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการศึกษาที่เชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้เชิงวิชาการร่วมสมัยกับภูมิปัญญาทางพระพุทธศาสนา พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างศักยภาพด้านวิชาการของบุคลากรทางศาสนาให้สามารถทำหน้าที่เผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาและทำงานรับใช้สังคมได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพในบริบทของโลกยุคปัจจุบัน
การหารือครั้งนี้จึงนับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญในการขยายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างสองสถาบัน ทั้งในด้าน การพัฒนาหลักสูตร การวิจัย การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาและบุคลากร รวมถึงการดำเนินกิจกรรมทางวิชาการและบริการวิชาการเพื่อสังคม เพื่อร่วมกันส่งเสริมและธำรงพระพุทธศาสนาให้มั่นคงและยั่งยืนสืบไป

On March 4, 2026 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pairor Makcharoen, Dean of the College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, together with administrators, faculty members, and staff, paid a respectful visit to offer felicitations to His Eminence Phra Dhammavajirajindabhorn (Somkid Jintamayo), Member of the Supreme Sangha Council, President of Mahamakut Buddhist University (MBU), and Ecclesiastical Governor of Regions 1–2–3 (Dhammayuttika), on the auspicious occasion of his 56th birthday anniversary.
During the visit, the delegation from the College of Religious Studies also took the opportunity to discuss potential avenues for strengthening academic collaboration between the College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University and Mahamakut Buddhist University (MBU). The discussion covered a broad range of cooperative initiatives, including curriculum development, academic exchange, faculty development, and joint academic and community engagement activities.
A key topic of the discussion was the possibility of developing joint academic programs between the two institutions, aimed at expanding educational opportunities for Buddhist monks, novices, and those interested in religious studies. Such collaboration would integrate the interdisciplinary expertise in religious studies and global perspectives on religion from Mahidol University with the deep scholarly tradition in Buddhist studies and scriptural knowledge from Mahamakut Buddhist University.
This collaboration aspires to create an integrated educational framework that bridges contemporary academic approaches with the rich intellectual heritage of Buddhism. It also aims to strengthen the academic capacity of religious personnel, enabling them to contribute effectively to Buddhist education, scholarship, and social engagement in the modern world.
The visit marks an important step toward expanding academic cooperation between the two institutions, including the development of joint curricula, collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, and academic service initiatives, with the shared goal of supporting the sustainable development and dissemination of Buddhist knowledge in contemporary society.
