วิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา ม.มหิดล ร่วมเวทีนานาชาติว่าด้วยสิทธิมนุษยชนในบริบทเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
เมื่อวันพุธที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 วิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้เข้าร่วมเวทีเสวนานานาชาติในหัวข้อ “Human Rights within the Southeast Asian Context” ณ ห้องสัมมาปัญญา ชั้น 4 วิทยาลัยพุทธศาสตร์นานาชาติ (IBSC) อาคาร 2 มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย
ในการนี้ Assistant Professor John Johnston อาจารย์ประจำวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมเสวนาในฐานะผู้แทนวิทยาลัยฯ เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเชิงวิชาการเกี่ยวกับสิทธิมนุษยชนในบริบทเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยเฉพาะประเด็น Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) และความท้าทายของการประยุกต์ใช้หลักสิทธิมนุษยชนในสังคมพหุวัฒนธรรม
เวทีเสวนาครั้งนี้มีผู้ร่วมอภิปรายจากหลากหลายสถาบัน ได้แก่
• Dr. Sriprapha Petcharameseree, Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University
• Mr. Boonthan T. Verawongse, Advisor to the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand
โดยมี Prof. Dr. Iselin Frydenlund ทำหน้าที่ผู้ดำเนินรายการ
การเข้าร่วมของ Assistant Professor John Johnston ในฐานะผู้แทนวิทยาลัยฯ สะท้อนบทบาทเชิงรุกของวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษาในการมีส่วนร่วมในประเด็นร่วมสมัยด้านพุทธศาสนาและสิทธิมนุษยชนในระดับนานาชาติ ตลอดจนยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นของวิทยาลัยฯ ในการบูรณาการองค์ความรู้ทางศาสนากับกรอบสิทธิมนุษยชนและความยุติธรรมทางสังคม
College of Religious Studies Participates in International Panel on Human Rights in Southeast Asia

On Wednesday, 25 February 2026, the College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, participated in the international panel discussion titled “Human Rights within the Southeast Asian Context”, held at the Sammāpaññā Conference Room, 4th Floor, International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC Building 2), Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University.
Assistant Professor John Johnston, College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, was invited to join the panel as a representative of the College. He contributed scholarly perspectives on human rights in the Southeast Asian context, with particular emphasis on Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) and the challenges of applying human rights frameworks within religiously diverse societies.
The panel also featured:
• Dr. Sriprapha Petcharameseree, Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University
• Mr. Boonthan T. Verawongse, Advisor to the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand The discussion was moderated by Prof. Dr. Iselin Frydenlund.
Participation in this international forum reflects the College’s active engagement in contemporary issues at the intersection of religion and human rights, as well as its ongoing commitment to contributing to global academic dialogue.
