วันที่ 5 เมษายน 2569 หอพักน้ำทองสิกขาลัย วิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จัดกิจกรรมสืบสานประเพณีไทยภายใต้แนวคิด “วิถีใหม่แห่งศรัทธา” ณ อาคาร 4 น้ำทองสิกขาลัย เนื่องในเทศกาลสงกรานต์และปีใหม่ไทย เพื่อร่วมกันอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรมอันดีงามของไทย เสริมความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ชีวิต และสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันอบอุ่นระหว่างวิทยาลัยกับชุมชนโดยรอบ
ในการนี้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ไพเราะ มากเจริญ คณบดีวิทยาลัยศาสนศึกษา ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมพร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ นักศึกษา คณะสงฆ์น้ำทองสิกขาลัย และพี่น้องประชาชนในชุมชน ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศที่เปี่ยมด้วยศรัทธา ความอบอุ่น และความร่วมแรงร่วมใจ
ภายในงานได้รับความเมตตาจาก พระสมุห์ก้องณพัฒน์ ฐานากโร พระวิปัสสนาจารย์ และ แม่ชีจงดี พรเจริญวิโรจน์ วิปัสสนาจารย์ ร่วมถ่ายทอดข้อคิดและแง่ธรรมอันเป็นประโยชน์แก่ผู้เข้าร่วมงาน อีกทั้งยังได้รับเกียรติจาก ผู้ใหญ่กรชนก มีป้อม, นายณัฐวุฒิ ยังศิริ สมาชิกสภาเทศบาลบางกระทึก, คุณปัณฑ์นพ ผจญทรพรรค ประธานมัคนายก รุ่นที่ 2 มจร.วัดไร่ขิง และ รองศาสตราจารย์มานิตย์ เฟื่องผล ที่มาร่วมกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้
กิจกรรมสำคัญประกอบด้วย พิธีสรงน้ำพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล และ พิธีบำเพ็ญกุศลทักษิณานุปทาน เพื่อน้อมรำลึกถึงบูรพาจารย์และผู้ล่วงลับ อันสะท้อนถึงคุณค่าของประเพณีไทยที่เชื่อมโยงศรัทธา ความกตัญญู และการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างงดงาม
นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังมีการแจกอาหารแห้งแก่ชาวบ้านและประชาชนในชุมชนที่มาร่วมงาน โดยอาหารดังกล่าวจัดซื้อจากปัจจัยที่ได้รับบริจาคล่วงหน้าจากผู้มีจิตศรัทธา เป็นจำนวน 3,600 บาท ซึ่งนับเป็นอีกหนึ่งมิติสำคัญของกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ ที่ไม่เพียงสะท้อนการสืบสานประเพณีไทยเท่านั้น แต่ยังแสดงถึงการแบ่งปันน้ำใจและการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างวิทยาลัยกับชุมชนโดยรอบอีกด้วย

Namthong Sikkhalai Dormitory, College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, Celebrates Thai Tradition under the Theme A New Way of Faith
On 5 April 2026, Namthong Sikkhalai Dormitory, College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University, organized a Thai traditional event under the theme “A New Way of Faith” at Building 4, Namthong Sikkhalai, in celebration of the Songkran Festival and the Thai New Year. The event was held to preserve Thailand’s cherished cultural traditions, bring auspiciousness to life, and strengthen the warm relationship between the College and the surrounding community.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pairor Makcharoen, Dean of the College of Religious Studies, joined the event together with staff, students, the Namthong Sikkhalai monastic community, and local residents, creating an atmosphere filled with faith, warmth, and shared goodwill.
The College was honored by the presence of Phra Samu Kongnaphat Thanakaro, Vipassana Meditation Master, and Mae Chee Jongdee Porncharoenviroj, Vipassana Instructor, who kindly shared Dhamma reflections with participants. The event was also attended by Village Head Korchonok Meepom, Mr. Nattawut Yungsiri, Member of the Bang Krathuek Municipal Council, Mr. Pandnop Phachonsonthraphak, President of the Lay Leader Association, Class 2, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Wat Rai Khing, and Assoc. Prof. Manit Fuengphon.
The program included the ritual bathing of the Buddha relics and a merit-making ceremony dedicated to departed teachers, elders, and loved ones, reflecting the spirit of Thai tradition through faith, gratitude, and peaceful coexistence.
In addition, dry food was distributed to local residents and community members attending the event. These items were purchased through an earlier donation of 3,600 baht from faithful supporters. This added another meaningful dimension to the event, showing that it was not only a continuation of Thai tradition, but also an act of generosity and a tangible expression of the good relationship between the College and the surrounding community.
The College of Religious Studies sincerely thanks all distinguished guests, staff, students, the Namthong Sikkhalai monastic community, and community members for their support and participation in making this event a success.
